Fresh Steps
Wednesday
Bible Study

"Fresh Steps" 7:00 p.m

We cordially invite you to attend our Wednesday night Bible study entitled “Fresh Steps”. This is an intimate small group study of the Bible that is both practical and serves as an interactive time of learning. We encourage relationship building while we engage the dynamic truths contained in God’s Word.

We are currently engaged in a survey of the Bible entitled, Training for Service. This study is designed to motivate believers to make a deeper commitment to serve the Lord to the best of their abilities and talents. We welcome you to take “fresh steps” with us.

Our Beliefs

Unity Christian Church International

  1. The Old and New Testaments are the inspired and authoritative Word of God. In the Bible, we find the revelation of God’s will for the salvation of humanity and the divine final authority for Christian life.
  2. There is one true God, the Creator of all things who is infinitely perfect and externally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man. He became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He is perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person forever.
  4. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all men. He bodily arose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and advocate.
  5. Man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God: thus, he alienated himself from his Creator. Humanity’s fall brought all men under divine condemnation. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation.
  6. The Salvation of man is wholly a work of God's free grace and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works, goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justifies them in His sight.
  7. The present and supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. During this age, He dwells, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living and service. He empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel. Every believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit as the initial physical evidence, and with the character of the Spirit as the ongoing life-evidence.
  8. Every born-again, Spirit-filled believer should maintain a consistent personal devotional life, by praying with understanding, praying with the Spirit and by daily study and application of the Word of God. This is evidenced by holiness of lifestyle, godliness of character, and a love of one another.
  9. The true Church is composed of those who are born again. Through this new birth, we are united together in the Body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church. Every local church under Christ has the right to decide and govern its own affairs.
  10. God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures, and for mutual encouragement.
  11. The imminent second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ has a vital bearing on the personal life, stewardship, and service of the believer.
  12. Jesus Christ will come again to the earth, personally, visibly and bodily to establish His Kingdom. At this time, the dead will be resurrected bodily, the believer to eternal joy with the Lord, and the unbeliever to condemnation and endless, conscious suffering.
  13. The Lord Jesus commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the whole world and make disciples in every nation. The fulfillment of the Great Commission requires that all selfish ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.
  14. There exists a personal spirit of Evil, Satan, our adversary, who, with great power, carries on organized opposition to the Kingdom of God, and seeks the demise of man: he will suffer ultimate and total defeat at the hands of Jesus Christ.
